How It Works!
Pinch Mechanism
The pendants and earrings are handcrafted of sterling silver or sterling silver and bronze, depending on the style. The bronze provides the strength the piece needs in order to hold its shape after numerous and continuous marble changes. When a marble is removed, the sides are pinched gently to renew the tension in the mechanism. When a new marble is pushed in, it is held firmly in place.
The Mod Rings also use a modified Pinch Mechanism, although the Mod design has a very positive tension aspect so it rarely needs pinching.
Back Loading Mechanism
The rings, which are made entirely of sterling silver, feature a thicker shank so they hold their shape. Most of the ring designs load the marble from the back which also helps the product retain its shape. (The Mod Ring uses a modified Pinch Mechanism.) When the marble is removed by pushing the marble towards the back of the ring, the tension can be renewed by gently pinching* the sides of the ring together. A new marble is loaded by pulling it in from the back.
