How To Wear Zulugrass 3 or more strands are recommended as a good start to your Zulugrass collection. Most of the methods use one or more strands. And 2 clips are recommended too for use in a few methods.

How to Wear Multiple Strands Using One Strand As The Clasp

With this method you can put as many Zulu strands together for the front of the necklace, but since this method layers the strands you can use less strands.

Step 1 – Let the full length of the strands hang from the palm of your left hand.

Step 2 - Separate 1 strand out. Double this strand by doing a figure 8 double. Place the doubled strand flat over the other strands hanging from the palm of your hand.

Step 3 – Pick up all the strands hanging from your palm and pull them up through the doubled strand. Only bring these strands half way up their length.

Step 4 – Close your left hand into a fist. Your hand should be holding only the single doubled strand. Bring the group of strands out and over the front of your fist to meet with the other half their group. Should make and even match. The single strand is your “clasp”.

Step 5 - Pull the tension of the necklace and slip it over your head.

How To Wear Twisted

With this method you can group as many Zulu strands together to twist for the front of your necklace. For this method you will need 2 of the clasps.

Step 1 – Separate 1 strand and double or triple. Doubling or tripling will change the length of the final necklace. Double is standard.

Step 2 – Using one of your clasps, clasp together your doubled strand to the group of strands for the front and close clasp. Hold both ends taut.

Step 3 - While holding one hand still, twist the other to form the twisted method. Your front strands and your doubled strand should both be twisted.

Step 4 – Open your second clasp and attach through the front group of strands. Put around your neck and join the doubled strand into the clasp and close it. Your doubled strand is the back of the necklace.

How To Wrap As A Bracelet

3+ Strands work best for this method. The more strands you use the tighter the bracelet will be.

Step 1 – Take group of strands and wrap 2x around your wrist. (3x is usually too loose, but the right fit for some)

Step 2 – Twist the group of strands 2-3x then go back through for the final wrap. This creates a “knot” that takes up some extra space so the fit is just right.

With this method you will need one of the clasps. The number of strands you use is going to depend on your wrist size. The more strands the tighter the fit.

Step 1 – As a group double the strands using the figure eight double.

Step 2 – Twist the strands and clasp closed on the underside of your wrist.
